Various sentient creatures like frogmen and owlpeople exist alongside humans who possess psychic abilities through mechanical actuators. Dark Gods caused the apocalypse, and players can offer sacrifices to them for powerful boons. Despite the catastrophic past, many current inhabitants are unaware of the events that led to the world's destruction.
